Peugeot has restyled the front of the 107, added more equipment, made it more fuel efficient – and dropped the price. The three trim levels on offer have been renamed (Access, Active and Allure) to bring them in line with other Peugeot models, and Peugeot Connect Bluetooth and USB are now available for the first time.Externally, the 107 gets cosmetic updates to its styling that include redesigned bumpers and LED daytime running lights. Three trim levels are on offer, bringing the car in line with other models in Peugeot’s range. Buyers can pick from Access, Active and Allure models, as well as having the choice between three and five-door versions. This new line-up offers improved levels of equipment compared to previous versions.Air conditioning is now standard on Active editions, while Allure versions come with alloy wheels, a rev counter and Bluetooth and USB connectivity. These features, including the LED daytime running lights, are all-new for the 107 range. So in other words the new Peugeot 107 is a little luxury car with a lot of comfort and space fort it’s class.Its 1.0-litre engine outputs a moderate 68bhp and 93Nm of pulling power. This allows the 107 to accelerate from 0-62mph in 14.2 seconds, when coupled to a five-speed manual gearbox. You’re not going to find yourself doing much overtaking, but it should be enough for around town driving and the odd motorway trip. Technical tweaks means that the 107′s 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine now emits just 99g/km of CO2. That’s a reduction of 4g/km of CO2 compared to previous version. Every version of the new Peugeot 107 city car now also comes with a 998cc petrol engine that is coupled to a manual gearbox, and they will be available for lease via contract hire schemes.The new Peugeot 107 goes on sale in February 2012, with prices starting at £7,995 for the entry-level three-door Access version.
