2013 Honda Accord

Unlike many of the mid size opponents, the Accord will still continue to be presented as a sedan and coupe. A bit small and a little lighter then the present model, the new one will have soft lines and more cohesive styling. It will be as important to Honda as anything done in the past. Now the question is weather it will be able to beat the range of the mid size competitors or will it have the feel like its ancestors and many more questions. The answers to all these question lies in affirmative. The new Accord is most likely to be based on the updated version of the architecture of the present model.
The new model will present a powerful and revised version of the familiar V6 of 3.5 liter with cylinder deactivation, unlike its competitors who are dropping their options of six cylinder. The Accord will be the model with four cylinder, direct injection helps the 2.4 liter to deliver at least 181 Hp and a torque of 177 pound feet along with better fuel economy. It will also offer a manual transmission of six speed and an automatic CVT. A lithium ion battery of 6kWh will offer city driving range of 10 to 15 miles and will recharge in just four hours by using a standard outlet of 120 volt. Three selectable modes will let the hybrid driver to make a choice from hybrid, electric and direct drive which decouples the electric motor for efficient cruising.
The conservative styled Civic keeps one wondering if this new model will suffer the same fate. The price of this two and four door Accord is supposed to remain in the range of $20,000 to $ 30,000 for the huge majority of lineup. It will face competition from Ford Fusion, Kia Optima, Hyundai Sonata, Chevrolet Malibu, Toyota Camry etc.
