2012 Kia Rio was first exhibited at the international car show way back to mid 2011. However, at that time experts manufactured a one-off model of Rio which was cute and properly upgraded for exhibition. Later, the company launched new set of doppelgangers of Rio for people who liked sophisticated vehicles with eco-friendly features.
Kia Rio is fully revised car with an upgraded compartment. The exterior and interior portions of the car cabin have been properly insulated using durable, environment-friendly leather, carbon fiber and ultra-light foam to decorate the squads, upholsters and dashboards. This is the vehicle which is loaded with tool like 1.6 liter capacitated GDI V4 powertrain. There will be either hand driven gear box or 6-speed automatic transmissions. 2012 BMW Alpina D5 Biturbo

Well, one of their most recent achievements, the Dartz Kombat debuted last week at the 2011 Chengdu Auto Show in China, the manufacturer also setting the price tag on their unique armored vehicle. Such an impressive car come, as expected with an impressive price: 9.18 milion yuan or 1.44 milion US dollar, at current exchange rates.

For this amount of money you’ll get a bullet proof car, with 7cm full body armored truck. Because of this heavy armor, the Dartz Kombat weighs over three tons, being powered by a 8.0 liter eight-cylinder engine with 456hp, good for a 240km/h top speed, according to Dartz.

World's Cheapest Car Covered In Gold

The world's cheapest car, the Tata Nano, has been transformed overnight into one of the planet’s most expensive models in a publicity stunt that celebrates India’s 5000 years of jewellery tradition and craftsmanship.
On Tuesday, Ratan Tata, chairman of the Tata Group, unveiled a jewel encrusted model named the GoldPlus Nano, which is e.ssentially a Tata Nano covered entirely in gold and jewellery.
The GoldPlus Nano is said to have cost more than US$4.68 million to create – an astonishing figure considering that the original Nano is priced around US$2,500.

Thirty artists from GoldPlus, a jewellery retail brand from Titan Industries of the Tata Group, were employed to decorate the tiny car in 80kg of 22 carat gold, 15kg of silver and 10,000 semi precious stones and gems. In all, 14 different techniques of jewellery making were used to represent the diverse and culturally distinct jewellery techniques from across India.

The proud creators of the GoldPlus Nano have already described the vehicle to be akin to that of a “golden chariot”.
“Through this effort we wanted to showcase the expertise of diverse Indian Jewellery making proficiency,” said Titan Industries’ Chief Operation Officer of the Jewellery Division C.K. Venkataraman, as quoted by DiamondWorld. “Nothing could have been better than a Tata Nano, as there is a perfect synergy between the two brands that cater to the common man.”
Tata and GoldPlus intend to take the GoldPlus Nano on a nationwide tour across all GoldPlus stores for the next six months, whereby a few lucky individuals will get an opportunity to sit in the car for photo ops.

The over-the-top publicity stunt is seen as a way for the Tata Group to sidetrack recent criticism of the Tata Nano over its safety record. According to the Financial Times, the Tata Nano has been dogged by several incidents of the car spontaneously erupting into flames, which prompted Tata to offer its existing customers a safety upgrade to its electrical and exhaust systems.

Ford premiers 2012 Focus ST Hatchback and Wagon

Ford has premiered their new edition Ford Focus ST Hatchback and Wagon much before its schedule, which was planned to be launched at the 2011Frankfurt Motor Show. The North American company could not wait for long and since the customers proved over curios about the item, they just unveiled it and introduced the model to the world.

This new 5door Focus ST will be sold all over the world. But the Wagon is planned for the European market only.

Both these two models will get its power from 2.0-litre 4-cylinder Eco Boost engine that can produce 250 HP and 360 Nm of torque and support the wheels of the head of the car through a six-speed gearbox that works manually. Regarding the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions the ST has proved to be 20 percent more efficient than the earlier edition called, Euro spec Focus ST, but the manufacturer is still to work on the test drives and confirm the correct figures.

The model also talks about enhancement in the suspension and brake system. Thus taking the car dynamics to the next level.

The new Focus ST’s Automatic Power supported Steering (EPAS) is also specially improved with Ford’s Torque Steer Compensation (TSC) mechanism. Therefore the car drivers can now accelerate at full throttle and they at the same time they will get the comfortable grip on uneven surfaces.

2014 Lexus

Although it’s nearly a half decade away, we are hearing reports that the next-generation IS sedan will make its debut sometime in 2013. The reason, according to our sources, is that work has started on a new 4-door sedan based on the FT-86 platform. For those who are not familiar with the FT-86, it’s the concept car that made news at last year’s Tokyo Motor Show. As the spiritual successor to the old Levin AE-86, a car we called the Corolla coupe, the rear-wheel-drive FT-86 will make its debut in June 2012.

As for the Lexus IS, this car will be built atop a stretched version of the FT-86 chassis. Toyota boss Akio Toyoda is keen on spicing up Toyota’s image into one with a more powerful emphasis on sport, so we hear the next IS will look and perform sportier than the current model.

While the FT-86 sports car will be powered by Subaru’s EJ20 engine (2.0-liter flat-4), the IS will be powered by a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder and/or a 3.6-liter flat-6. The 2014 Lexus IS F will continue with a high-powered V-8 that’ll make the luxury sedan a presence on the racetrack

Porsche Cajun

When the Cayenne and Panamera were introduced, Porsche-philes groaned and proclaimed the destruction of their hallowed brand. Now, a few years on, both cars are selling as fast as they can be manufactured. Given that, it should come as no surprise that Porsche has been working on a new small utility vehicle, the Cajun—a contraction of the words “Cayenne Junior.”
Based on a chassis similar to the Audi Q5’s, the Cajun will be offered in a 5-door configuration, although a 3-door is possible. Unlike the Q5, the Cajun will be focused on being a “driver’s” mini-ute, and will feature a lower ride height, larger and wider wheels, and a clean-sheet interior that reflects the fittings in the Cayenne. Powering the car will likely be the 211-bhp 2.0-liter TFSI engine sourced from Audi, but retuned to 265 bhp. A V-6 engine option is also a good possibility. A forthcoming Cajun S perhaps? We’d like to think so.

2013 Nissan Z

one of the most popular and recognized Japanese sports cars ever is Nissan’s Z car, and from what we’ve uncovered about the next-generation Z, Nissan is fully aware that this species must evolve if it intends to stay on top of the competition. Part of that evolution may include hybrid power as automakers are caught in the green wave of environmental responsibility that has become a priority.
Though nothing definite has been decided about the next Z, Nissan is experimenting with a number of different power options as you read this. Naturally, one approach on the table is a hybrid powertrain. If the next Z goes that way, it will most likely come in the form of the system currently in the Infiniti M Hybrid, which couples a 3.5-liter V-6 gasoline engine (known as the VQ35DE) with an electric motor. In the M Hybrid, the setup produces 360 bhp and about 450 lb.-ft. of torque, more than enough punch for a midpriced sports car. In the next-generation Z, fuel economy should be in the neighborhood of 30 mpg. There are rumors of a test mule of the Z with the M Hybrid’s powertrain running around the U.S.
Another option that Nissan is strongly considering is a diesel engine. With Nissan’s recently announced cooperation with Daimler, it has the option of putting one of Mercedes-Benz’s BlueTEC engines under the hood. The most likely candidate would be the 3.0-liter turbodiesel that’s currently in the Mercedes-Benz GL, or something a little bigger. There’s also the chance that Nissan will offer the next-generation Z, which should hit dealerships in 2013, with a number of powertrain choices that include hybrid, diesel and gasoline-only versions. There’s no word on what the car would cost just yet, but expect the price to increase slightly, especially if the Japanese yen stays at its current level, and the car continues to be built in Japan.

Acura sports car

In the past two installments of Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr., aka Tony Stark, never hid his affinity for the Audi R8.

But thanks to Marvel Studio’s recent partnership with Acura, it looks like our favorite billionaire playboy is turning over his Audi digs for an Acura sports car that, quite frankly, we’ve never seen before.

Acura began appearing in Thor and Captain America as S.H.I.E.L.D.’s official official chose of brand. With the collaboration movie - the Avenges - currently filming in New York, it appears that Acura has allowed the studio to use a mysterious car that has yet been given any information on.

When asked by Autoblog about the matter, the automaker responded that the mystery car is a one-off make that’s neither a concept nor a production model.

"The open-top sports car that was photographed yesterday is a one-off, fictional car that was made just for the movie and will not be produced," Acura’s Gary Robinson said.

Judging from the looks of the car, it does remind us a little bit of the R8 in terms of its overall shape. And to be honest about it, we certainly wouldn’t mind seeing this car in concept guise. Better yet, let’s have it built for production
