2015 Mini Van

If you’re a fan of the Mini Cooper but need something in XXL, this could be the car for you. This illustration portrays a van variant of the Mini—Mini Van, get it?—which sources claim could go on sale by 2015 (if not sooner). Having finally delivered on its promise of a smaller Mini, courtesy of the 2-passenger Coupe and Roadster, it appears the brand is moving back to a “bigger is better” mantra.The extended Clubman model and Countryman crossover have already nudged Mini to previously uncharted dimensions. The Mini Van appears to share the overall proportions of the Countryman, minus that model’s slightly fussy front end and fender flares. It’s also unlikely Mini would fit the Countryman’s (optional) all-wheel-drive system to the Van, though it’s not completely out of the question.The current 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine, in normally aspirated and turbocharged forms, is guaranteed to find its way into the engine bay. A choice of 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions is also a safe bet. The more upright body should provide ample head room and a significant boost to cargo capacity. Mini might opt to fit sliding rear seats, like those found in the Countryman, for added utility.With the Coupe and Roadster just coming to market, Mini will likely wait until 2013 before offering any official hints as to the next model to join the lineup.

2012 VW New Beetle

2012 Toyota Yaris Hybrid

Toyota is about to add another model to its hybrid line-up and, no surprise here, it’s based on the company’s best sold model on the European market: the Yaris. The new Yaris Hybrid is set to make its world debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March with sales in Europe beginning shortly thereafter.

The new Yaris Hybrid will be powered by the first downsizing of Toyota’s HSD powertrain that combines a new 1.5 liter petrol engine with a lighter, more compact electric motor, transaxle, inverter, and battery pack. This new system is about 20% lighter than that of the engine found in the Auris Hybrid and will deliver a total of 100 HP. It will be mated to a standard automatic transmission.

Next to having a hybrid powertrain, the new Yaris Hybrid will also be offered with an exclusive, aerodynamically efficient exterior design. This means it will have a new, more assertive Under Priority trapezoid opening frontal design element with the Keen Look design implemented on the front lamps.

2013 Ford Fusion

The all new Ford Fusion was showcased at the Detroit Auto Show representing the evolution of sedans. In the new model you can find hints of Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, and Aston Martindesigns. This new concept is unofficially called “Kinetic 2.0”Chris Hamilton, the British exterior design chief of the all-new, 2013 Ford Fusion said: “We put a lot of emphasis, to create something that we think will be different in the marketplace. We’ll have a sophisticated feel. We’ll be elegant. We’ll be somewhat unexpected in North America, from Ford, and we’ll set ourselves apart from Camry and Accord … We wanted to create a beautiful-looking car. That’s always been our number-one objective.The body of the Fusion increased 1.1 inches in length, 0.5 inches in width, and 5 inches in wheelbase making it look much larger. The detailing of the creases running from the headlights through the door handles to the rear window gives is a sharp character. Ford’s signature above the grille has a new brushed-aluminum surrounding the Blue Oval emblem. The underbody trays and new distinguished shaped mirrors improve aerodynamics. The laminated windshield and seal around the hood reduces engine noise.Ford gives buyers the choice of three engines. A 170-hp 2.5 L four cylinder 6 speed automatic, 179-hp 1.6L EcoBoost turbo 6 speed automatic or manual, or 237-hp 2.0L EcoBoost 6 speed automatic. The all wheel drive is available only to the 2.0L fusion. The stop-start engine system is standard on all models whose role is to reduce fuel consumption and emission by 3.5%.Customers that buy the hybrid get a new 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder which replaces the outgoing 2.5-liter unit. A permanent-magnet AC synchronous motor holds up the electrical end of the momentum bargain which helps to boost total system output to 185 hp and 130 lb-ft of torque. An electronically controlled continuously variable transmission sends the power to the wheels. Lighter and more powerful lithium-ion batteries that replaces the previous Fusion hybrid’s nickel-metal hydride batteries which increases the fully electric top speed from 47 to 62 mph.As far as technology goes Ford incorporated the adaptive cruise control, a lane-keeping system, blind-spot warning, active park assist and the MyFord Touch system is available on the features list. Other than these items Ford isn’t saying much more. The interior is for sure impressive, comfortable and elegant. The surfaces are blended with soft materials, high quality sound reducing plastic, and chrome accents. The roofline steeps but there are indentations in the rear seat for passengers’ heads. Legroom is imporoved because the front seats are thinner than the previous model. Trunk space is reduced from 16.5 cubic feet to 15.4 cubic feet.

Peugeot EX1 concept – the mini Bat Mobile

Peugeot designed a new concept – the new EX1. Powered by electric engines, each producing 170 horsepower and 240Nm, for a total of 340 horsepower, the new EX1 goes from 0 to 60 in under 3.5 seconds, and reaches its top speed of 162 mph in just 6.6 seconds.

The outer design has multiple purposes. Of course it gives the car a great aerodynamic performance and a brilliant sporty look, but it also enables the car to have a very small weight of only 750kg. The body of the car is made from carbon fiber, and has a length of only 3.54 meters.

The windshield is almost non-existent. The EX1 only has two seats, and its body looks like it’s made for track, so the word Roadster would be an appropriate part in the car’s name. The large exhaust is placed behind the driver’s head, and increases the similarity to the fictional “Bat-Mobile”.

Peugeot stated their intentions of giving their EX1 the best performance there is on any electric car, and so they’ve done. The amazing acceleration and speed is not only beyond reached for any other electric car, but also better than some internal combustion sport correspondents as well.

This car looks great and handles even better –it’s a pitty that Peugeot hasn’t released any information about a release date or price.

2013 Honda Accord Coupe Concept – More Energy Efficient

Just a week ago, an official brief was issued from the headquarters of Honda that the company will launch new pilot projects to bring speed to the car upgradation and tuning programs with the main purpose of bringing back more revenues to spoon feed employees. However, after a long hiatus Honda has taken such a drastic step to launch this performance based car upgradation package.

2013 Accord Coupe Concept vehicle has been exhibited at 2012 Detroit Auto Show. People showed their full fledged support after watching the one-off car model of Honda. In another statement, one of the official spokespersons of the company has confirmed the installation of an energy efficient 2.4 liter direct inject powertrain and plug in hybrid system for the activation of the new concept car model.

2.4 L powertrain generates 181hp and 177 pound feet torque to make car wheelbases functional using a performance based manual gearbox. This is the car which has a solid compartment and latest nav system. This is the car which is equipped with automatic transmission to channelize torque from the engine to the car wheels, dampers to collect shock for checking friction and very powerful carbon diffuser. This vehicle is not weighty. Nor is it loaded with updated drive train kit. However so far as the two-motor plug-in hybrid based mechanism there is a powerful 6 kilowatt hour ion battery to generate power for allowing the vehicle to run smoothly on highway. 2.0-litre i-VTEC with CVT attachment has been installed into the compartment of the car to help people to drive their dream cars competently.

This is the vehicle which has four less weighty car wheelbases with tire bands to let the car run on the road swiftly. The level of air contamination done by this sophisticated car is very low. You will feel comfy when you travel by this car. Fluorescent lamps have been installed into the grooves of bezels. The aligned trapezoidal grilles and air inlets of this new concept vehicle are durable and strong.

2012 Maybach 62S Landaulet

When we hear the word “Maybach”, each one of us pictures a vehicle multibillionaires use when they get tired of their private jets – and that’s exactly what this Maybach is.

This Landaulet is the ultimate in car comfort. All the gizmos the people from Maybach could think off were inserted into this car. Of course, because it’s a Landaulet, the roof can be fully opened at the rear. In this model, the time it takes to fully open the roof was lowered to 16 seconds.

There are 2 passenger seats in the back, each of them the size of an armchair. Naturally, all the seats are heated. The leg room is enormous. There could be a whole extra seat in front of every passenger and no one would feel cramped.  The shoulder belts automatically adjust to the height of the driver, or the passengers.

There are two 9.5 inch displays for the entertainment system in front of the passengers. Other features include radio, DVD and front telephone, but also navigation system and other services. The entertainment system can be controlled by the passengers using a remote, or by the driver using vocal commands.

As if the comfort found on the inside wasn’t enough, this year’s Landaulet is powered by a V12 turbocharged and water intercooled engine that provides a maximum output of 620 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque.
