Delavilla R1 Based on Porsche Cayman Official: Info and Specs

The Delavilla company is quite a youngster in the world of tuning, having its roots in France. The latest model in range of the tuner is a rebuild based on the Porsche Cayman.


The modifications start at the bodywork, which has completely beenrevised and changed. Delavilla added 12cm of width at the front and 18cm at the rear, creating a more agressive and sporty look for the Porsche. This, merged with a new front bumper with LED lights and special fog lights manages to complete the appearance in the same idea.


Four vertical exhaust pipes, above a wide air outlet have been also added to the rear, while large air inlets required to cool the internal mechanics change completely the classic side panels of the Carrera GT.


Among all the modifications there are lambo doors, fingerprint recognition and a transparent engine cover, all summed up to 34 additional options. The final feature of the tuning package is the offering of three power levels, above and beyond those offered by the manufacturer: the first configuration offers 340hp, the second 385hp and the last up to 420hp (only for track racing).


We will deffinitely keep an eye on Delavilla, since it really promises a lot. We shall wait and see.

Honda’s 2012 CR-V- More Efficient with Excellent Operating Systems

Honda’s 2012 CR-V will be released soon. Maybe by the end of the next year, Honda will backfire this newly built upgraded vehicle to the market. However, meanwhile the company is planning to manufacture more eco-friendly electric vehicle under the brand name of Fit EV. At first this Fit EV will be available on lease in two major cities like California and Oregon. In addition East Coast automobile sectors will promote this car on lease as well most probably in 2013.
In a press note, the company’s secretary has told reporters that the company will do some experiments by releasing the first set of approximately 1100 Fit EVs to feel the likelihood of customers. Depending on the response from both consumers and experts, Honda will try to increase the number of cars for sale.
Fit EV car is equipped with a 20 kWh lithium ion type battery to power the vehicle. However there will be the provision for a 92KW capacitated coaxial electric motor collected from the FCX Clarity. Further technical specifications have been revealed from the chairperson’s desk. In a statement, the chairperson has made it clear that the car will have a 3-mode electric driving attachment which has been engineered in imitation of CR-Z Sport hybrid. There are three important modes like Econ, Sport and Normal. These modes are used to ensure acceleration or technical upgradation. A comparison study has confirmed the betterment of driving range system via Econ comparing to Normal. The percentage of driving range varies by 17% whereas the Sport drive mode puts emphasis on acceleration.
Honda management team is trying to increase the reputation of the production unit by manufacturing more environment friendly cars to assist consumers for getting benefits. Fit EV is rechargeable and it needs around 3 hours for charging the car. The vehicle is loaded with other features like automatic transmission, drive train package, carbon diffusers, exhaust system as well as other car tuning devices.

2013 Audi A4

The current Audi A4 sedan, introduced as a 2009 model, sees a refresh for 2013. In front, there’s a new bumper, headlights, hood and grille. The taillights and rear valance also see subtle changes. These modifications increase the dimensions of the car by a few millimeters, but the chassis is carryover.
Audi’s 4-cylinder TDI engines now get a centrifugal pendulum-type absorber in the dual-mass flywheel to help the engine run smoother and quieter. Audi says it also allows for upshifts at lower rpm, improving fuel efficiency.Audi AG has also revealed a new 170-bhp 1.8-liter engine that will be available in the new A4. Integrating the latest in valvetrain control, direct injection, cooling and turbocharger integration, the 4-cylinder engine was developed with an emphasis on power and efficiency. No announcements have been made regarding whether the 1.8 will make its way to the U.S. Stateside. For the record, Audi offers six TDI and four gasoline engine options in Germany, for a total of 23 possible engine-transmission combinations for the A4—a veritable nightmare for dealers’ parts bins. The steering has also been reworked on the 2013 Audi A4. The new electromechanical arrangement with direct gear ratios promises a precise feel, with the added benefit of not drawing any energy from the powertrain when driving straight. The result? Improved fuel economy.
Inside the cabin, the 2013 Audi A4 has a new ignition key and several steering wheel options. What’s more, the MMI Navigation Plus system now has four buttons with script function, whereas the previous version had eight. Also, the selection of colors, materials and finishes for the interior has been broadened.
Pricing for the refreshed 2013 Audi A4 in the U.S. hasn’t been announced. In Europe, however, the improvements have bumped the price of the car by about $660. 

The future of 2013 Mercedes-Benz AMG starts with all-electric SLS E-Cell

It is towards the end of 2012, that we will get to see the first all electric AMG product. Mercedes will start taking orders for SLS AMG E cell by the middle of next year. The test drives and deliveries are scheduled to begin towards the end of next year. According to Ola Kallenius, although the range and curb weight have not been finalised yet the development of the all electric car, all wheel drive is going on at a rapid pace. Kallenius is of the opinion that inspite of the extra weight of the lithium ion battery; it will have an exceptional performance. It will be due to the ability of AMG product to control independently the torque output to the wheels through the electric motors.
Although it is an important move for the brand but the SLS AMG E cell is just the first move ahead. Implementation of electric drivetrains and a variety of Kinetic Energy Recovery System will accompany AMGs in the near future. However, Kallenius has not committed on which model will be benefited by this technology. According to him utilization of alternative powerstrains will play an important role in AMG’s tire-shredding efforts.

2014 Audi R5 Spyder

The upcoming Audi R5 roadster has routinely been called the “Baby R8,” in reference to its design similarities with the German automaker’s high-performance mid-engine supercar. We doubt Audi minds the comparison. This new entry-level Audi sports car is being developed in cooperation with VW and Porsche, both of which will spin off their own variations. This illustration offers a look at what Audi’s convertible version will look like. A hardtop coupe is also planned.
VW already offered a preview of what’s to come at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show, where it displayed its sleek 2-seat diesel-powered Concept Bluesport. Porsche has been a tad more secretive, but we expect its version to slot beneath the Boxster in size, power and price. A 1.9-liter flat-4 cylinder engine will power the Porsche, whereas traditional inline-4 cylinders (and possibly an inline-5) will motivate the VW and Audi. The platform will accommodate rear- and all-wheel-drive systems. Hybrid and electric-powered versions are also possible.
We had a sneak peek at what’s to come with the R5 when Audi invited us drive the e-tron Spyder, a concept car we called “essentially a mid-engine short-wheelbase Audi R8.” The two cars share a common floorpan. However, befitting its status as a concept vehicle, the e-tron Spyder has a carbon-fiber body draped over a custom aluminum space frame. The powertrain consists of a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V-6, a CVT and an electric drive system on the front axle.Even at the mandated low speeds, we noted the “overall dynamics felt more like a Porsche Boxster’s than an Audi TT’s.” Also earning praise was the e-tron Spyder’s open cabin, which “made a Boxster seem tight” in comparison. Nimble handling and a solid feel—even for a concept car—left us excited to drive the production version. That wait could stretch a couple more years, as sales are not expected before 2014.

2012 Mercedes CL 800 Coupe By Brabus: Official Info and Specs

One of the cars that will deffinitely make this year’s Dubai Motor Show edition very veruy special is the 2012 Mercedes CL 800 Coupe By Brabus, which will be the world’s fastest and most powerful luxury coupe. The Brabus 800 Coupe was based on the Mercedes CL600 and as we are about to see, the combination between the two companies has brought one of the most interesting result.

In order to improve performance, the standard Mercedes CL600 received a few aerodynamic changes which include a new front spoiler, an understated rear spoiler on the trunk lid, and a rear fascia insert. These upgrades have been rigurously tested in the wind tunnel in order to ensure that they will be succesful. After this, the car received a new set of wheels, size 18″ to 22″ depending on the customer’s wishes, and a lowering module to bring the two-door car by some 25 millimeters (about 1″).

A combination of white leather and black Alcantara with contrasting seams and diamond-pattern top-stitching make the interiour of the car, along with an ergonomically shaped sport steering wheel, Brabus logo, aluminum pedals, foot rest, and shifter and seats combined with carbon-fiber elements.

And now for the icing on the cake, the outstanding upgrades that were brought to the Mercedes CL600 by Brabus. First, the displacement of the engine was increased from 5.5L to 6.3L, then added a high-end turbocharging system designed by the Brabus engine specialists. This system features two custom exhaust manifolds with integrated turbine housings and high-performance turbochargers, as well as four water-to-air intercoolers. A carbon-fiber ram-air intake was also integrated into the hood.

The result of all this is 800 HP at a low 5,500 rpm and 1,047 lb-ft of torque available from 2,100 rpm. However, the peak torque will be limited electronically to 811 lb-ft, but even having that limitation, the sprint from 0 to 60 mph is still made in 3.9 seconds and the 0 to 124 mph sprint in 10.3 seconds, while top speed is electronically limited to 217 mph.

Unfortunately, pricing isn’t yet availailable, but we will sure keep an eye on this one.

Range Rover Evoque by Startech to Debut at Dubai Motor Show

The uniquely designed crossover Evogue is the Range Rover’s newest and smallest model and has received an on-road oriented tuning package for both the three- and five-door versions of the car from Startech, a sub-brand of Mercedes-Benz specialist Brabus. Ths new version of the Evogue will make its debut this week at the 2011 Dubai International Motor Show.

As far as looks are concerned, this pcakage proves itself to be really generous, including front grille, newly shaped front and rear bumpers, spoiler and air inlets that are said to have been fine-tuned in the wind tunnel to reduce lift on the front axle at high speeds. Also featuring on the Startech-tuned Evoque are the new tailpipes that can be fitted to the standard exhausts or Startech’s own stainless steel muffler and the integrated rear diffuser.

The height of the car has been lowered by 35mm , having the standard wheels replaced by 21-inch Monostar R five-spoke forged alloys fitted with high-performance 265/40 tires. The option for 20- or 22-inch wheels is also vailable for the customers.

The interiour has also beenlooked at, now being upgraded with custom upholstery made of leather and Alcantara not only in the demonstration car’s black and white livery, but also in any color and design the customer prefers. Wood or carbon fiber trim finish off the Startech treatment.

Now, the engine. The Startech-tuned Evoque is powered by a performance kit for the SI4 2.0-liter gasoline engine, which has a standard output of 240HP, and which is still in development. But details will be available sometime, so we will stay tuned.
